Creating Connections to Create Success
When you hear the word “connection” what do you think of?
Do you think of connecting wires, connecting fences or other hands-on activities? Or, do you think of connecting with family, friends or business partners?
Regardless of what comes to mind, the reality is that connection is the key to success in many areas of life. We need to connect wires for electricity. We need to connect fences so the cows don’t get out. We also need to connect with people.
From a business standpoint, connecting with people is important to advance and move forward. Connecting is the first step to collaborating and collaborating helps multiple people or businesses improve at a faster rate.
For example, several ranchers connected with each other at my RancherMind event last week. After connecting, they were able to ask each other questions about anything that related to ranching. Together these ranchers were able to help improve mineral and nutrition programs as well as look into new reproductive technologies. This all started with connecting with one another.
From a personal standpoint, connecting with family and friends is IMPORTANT! It’s not just important during the holidays. It is important during all times of the year. Conversations that allow you to catch up, share a laugh and remember what really matters in life are invaluable. They help keep your spirit up, to say the least.
With that, I’d encourage you to think about how you connected with someone today. How did that connection lead to either personal or business progress?
